Story Board
For this plushie video, I had to make a story board before i could shoot it. I learned in class that a storyboard was basically a drawing of the film shot my shot. It took me awhile to come up with a concept, but once I did I was able to draw my story board up pretty quickly. My drawings are not great, but they really helped me keep track of what i was doing and i know i will get better as I become more familiar with storyboards.
My plushie video is about two plushies who are having a dramatic showdown over a colorful rock (it was the best thing in could find on short notice.) On my story board i drew them both as cats even though the plushies i used ended up being different
I am very proud of this video because i feel that i have improved greatly since my first plushie and took special care to make sure that my shots were clearer and more steady than my last attempt, and i tried to edit it to be more clean in terms of where i cut the clips.
I ran into some problems however. The sun was going in and out of the clouds while i was filming which caused my film to lack perfect consistency. I also did not stick strictly to the storyboard while filming and changed some shots and added some.
As a whole I am very proud of this video and feel as if i am off to a good start in this class and feel more confident in my filmmaking in general.
My video is not uplaoded at this time. It will bee finished next week.
